Kayeworx Drilling is an owner-led South African drilling contractor specializing in horizontal directional drilling, vertical drilling, pipe jacking, tailings dam drainage, solar farm drilling, and HDPE pipe welding and installation.
Based in Gauteng and working across South Africa and beyond its borders, we support civil, mining, municipal, utility, and renewable energy projects with practical drilling solutions, experienced crews, and a hands-on approach.
We are known for being responsive, adaptable, and committed to seeing challenging work through. Good planning matters, but site conditions change quickly. Our strength lies in understanding the operational realities of a project, adapting when needed and collaborating with clients to find a practical way forward.

He built strong relationships across the industry and developed a reputation as a practical problem-solver who could bring people together, make decisions and get things done.
Shortly after the COVID-19 period, Dane saw an opportunity to step away from the corporate environment and build something of his own: a business that would allow him to use his experience and entrepreneurial spirit, create a legacy for his children and become more present with his family.
Kayeworx grew from that decision.
What started with one person backing his experience, relationships, and ability to deliver has developed into a drilling business supporting projects across South Africa and, where required, beyond its borders.

His background goes beyond drilling. With experience in technical and IT environments, small retail installations, recruitment and workforce planning, telecommunications and fiber network route planning, Dane brings a broad and practical view of how people, equipment, logistics, technology, and project requirements come together.
That experience is especially valuable on complex or unusual projects where there may not be an obvious off-the-shelf solution.
Kayeworx does not only take on standard drilling work. We also work with clients who have a new, difficult, or unusual project requirement and need a contractor willing to think through the challenge, assess the options and find a practical method of accomplishing what is needed.
Bringing Corporate Discipline into an Entrepreneurial Business
As Kayeworx enters its next phase of growth, Kathryn Coetzer brings more than 20 years of corporate experience in the mining OEM environment to the business.
Her background spans marketing, human resources, governance, SHEQ, responsible business and corporate communications, giving Kayeworx a broader foundation for sustainable growth.
Kathryn’s role is not to turn Kayeworx into a slow or bureaucratic organization. It is to help strengthen the business around what already makes it successful: responsiveness, flexibility, practical problem solving and close client relationships.
The focus is on building systems, discipline and structures that allow entrepreneurial business to grow responsibly, remain agile, and become stronger over time.
For Kayeworx, growth is not only about taking on more work. It is about building a contractor that can endure, adapt, and survive.
